About Kilsaran

Founded in 1964 by the late Patrick McKeown in the village of Kilsaran in County Louth, Kilsaran has grown considerably to become Ireland’s largest independent manufacturer of a range of concrete products.

The Road Surfacing Division was introduced in 1967, followed in 1994 by the Paving Division in Dunboyne , Co. Meath and in 1996 with the Dry Products division in Brownstown, Co. Kildare. In 2010 Kilsaran opened its office in the UK. In 2021, Kilsaran Precast was launched along with the acquisition of Oran Precast. In 2022 Kilsaran introduced its sixth business unit “Materials Recovery & Recycling” which provides construction waste solutions to contractors and developers in the Greater Dublin Region.

For over sixty years the business, has been synonymous with innovative concrete and asphalt products and award-winning design in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

This family-owned and run business is quite literally Irish from the ground up, mining raw materials from its own quarries and manufacturing end products at its various manufacturing plants across Ireland. Kilsaran specialises in making superior quality paving and walling, road surfacing materials, pre-mixed dry mortars, renders, screeds and, of course, ready-mixed concrete and blocks. The supply of standard, unique and bespoke product solutions to both the commercial and domestic market is centred on a continual commitment to manufacturing excellence and technical expertise.

Kilsaran are trusted by businesses and contractors alike to produce quality construction materials that are fundamental in the creation of our national infrastructure, including large commercial buildings, domestic and agricultural construction, office blocks and major road networks.

At Kilsaran, we are proud to be part of the Guaranteed Irish family of brands supporting local jobs and communities. Finding the best solutions for all our customers and bringing innovative and unique products to the market is what drives and motivates us. We call it ‘ideas taking shape’.

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Kilsaran, we believe that the type of company we are filters down into every area of our business. While a customer’s primary concern is naturally the quality of the products and reliability of the service, we take seriously our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

We endeavour to be industry leaders in every aspect of our business. Our customers and their communities have built our business over the years and we feel it’s only fair to give something back.

We actively engage with many charitable organisations, sports clubs and community groups in towns and villages across Ireland. Some of the more projects we have working on include a garden for Peter McVerry Trust, and the Field of Dreams farm project for Down Syndrome Cork in conjunction with Diarmuid Gavin.

We are flattered that we’ve been given the opportunity to partner with so many worthy causes.
