ISO 45001
At Kilsaran we operate a Health & Safety Management System based on the requirements ISO 45001:2018. This internationally recognised standard is a fantastic achievement for the company in its 60th year in business.
The certification journey started in late 2023 where SGS carried out the Stage 1 Audit, and this was followed up by the Stage 2 Audit in April of 2024. The audit involved the inspection of all of our health and safety documentation and contractor management system as well as a number of site visits where we had to demonstrate the competent management of same and how these systems are applied on the ground.
This standard could only be achieved by demonstrating a commitment to continual innovation and improvement. This certification journey is all part of the company’s overall commitment to our “Goal Zero Journey” which is about getting people to Think Safe, Work Safe and get Home Safe each and every day.
Kilsaran’s Road Surfacing and Precast division have maintained a Grade ‘A’ accreditation for the last number of years with Safe-T-Cert. This standard can only be achieved by demonstrating a commitment to continual innovation and improvement. It is a very instructive process where the auditor brings us up to date regarding the latest in H&S challenges and opportunities.
The hard work and dedication of these involved is critical in maintaining this result and continuing to ensure that we have a robust Safety and Health Management system.
