The Nova Innovation Centre was recently re-developed as part of a wider renovation project of Merville House, a UCD campus building of historic significance.

The existing structure was a dilapidated quadrangle wing, which was restored in the form of this new two- storey annaze building. The new campus facility is an entrepreneurial hub catering for up to 20 start- up companies in units and laboratories of various sizes.

Purcell Construction used Kilsaran Ultra White coloured Mortar, Kilsaran Ceresit Ceretherm Insulation, and Kilsaran Durarend Classic products for the project, and the building turned out beautifully.

Kilsaran Pembroke paving blocks were chosen to reflect the tone and nature of the project. Bringing a dynamic energy to the courtyard elevations.

Our Pembroke block further accentuated by the use of solid masonry and polished concrete products throughout the new development.

The product selection process was based on a palette of grey brickwork and polished concrete sympathetic to the tone of the adjacent sandstone buildings. There was a focus on projecting concrete bays to give prominence to common living spaces to highlight the façades and bring life to the open spaces that surround the building.

Kilsaran International was delighted to have been chosen as supplier of choice to the Ballymakenny College, Drogheda, Co. Louth.

Throughout the build Kilsaran supplied over 4300 cubic meters of Concrete and over 10,800 tonnes of aggregates via our Gallstown batching plant and a further 446 tonnes of aggregate through our Annagor quarry. This helped to create Kilsaran`s first permeable carpark using their new Clima-Phalt, a porous asphalt that allows rapid water movement down through the surface and into the special aggregate holding tanks below.

A combination of Kilsaran render materials were tailored specifically for the project and consisted of; Kilsaran`s NEW DuraRend, Ceresit`s CT16 Primer and then Ceresit`s CT79 Elastomeric Render as a finish coat
