Kilsaran is proud to announce that the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) development for which Kilsaran were the main concrete supplier for, has been Highly Commended in the Building Category at the 43rd Annual Irish Concrete Society Awards 2026.
This commendation reflects the exceptional standard of work delivered by our Concrete Products & Aggregate team, whose contribution spanned every stage of the project — from early design input and technical expertise to on‑site coordination and the reliable supply of high‑quality concrete solutions. Their dedication played a vital role in the successful execution of this landmark build.
In its official citation, the jury described the RCSI project as “a landmark new frontage to St. Stephen’s Green”, praising the level of innovation and technical achievement demonstrated throughout. The judges highlighted several standout features, including: Pre‑cambered slabs engineered to achieve impressive 16‑metre spans, multiple structural transfers completed with precision, exceptional board‑marked concrete finishes applied consistently and meticulously, a high degree of coordination between design teams and contractors, ensuring accuracy at every stage.
These elements combined to deliver a project that is not only architecturally significant but executed to the highest technical standard.
